In May 2010, we were requested to resolve a pigeon problem behind two office properties in Bristol city centre.
The areas concerned consisted of two light wells which contained an accumulation of pigeon guano on window ledges, drainpipes, external ducting and air conditioning units.
Pigeons were attracted to warmth from the air conditional units, together with the security and safety of roosting points which shield them from the weather.
A thorough hygiene service to remove all relevant pigeon mess was undertaken first, this was then followed by pigeon proofing, which consisted of the installation of pigeon netting and anti-roosting spikes.
All work was completed on schedule and without disturbance or interference to the various tenants in the office buildings.
